This is Nick Chapmans 3rd one man show at the Simon Drew Gallery.

His ceramic pieces are made in red earthenware and are mostly functional forms.

Some are thrown and some are handbuilt.

The decoration of the pots usually reflects themes taken from the natural world. Animals, fish, insects and plants are depicted in rich colours. Nick uses lustres and precious metals to paint on the glazed pots before their final firing and this creates ceramics ehich have opulent, iridescent surfaces
